Bin Trim Program Update
Mil-tek Waste Solutions was proud to be a long-standing partner of the NSW EPA’s Bin Trim Program, helping businesses across Australia reduce waste to landfill, increase recycling rates, improve workplace safety, and lower waste management costs.
Through the Bin Trim Program, Mil-tek delivered practical waste and recycling solutions that enabled organisations to achieve measurable environmental and operational improvements while generating significant cost savings.
The most recent round of the Bin Trim Program has now concluded, and at this stage there is no confirmation as to when, or if, a future funding round will become available.
While the program has ended, the benefits of a Mil-tek solution remain unchanged. Businesses continue to achieve substantial reductions in waste volumes, lower collection costs, improved recycling outcomes, enhanced workplace safety, and greater operational efficiency through the implementation of Mil-tek’s waste management solutions.
What is the Bin Trim Program?
The program is currently closed, but the Bin Trim Equipment Rebates Program is a NSW Environment Protection Authority initiative that supports businesses to reduce waste and increase recycling. Rebates of up to $50,000 – covering up to 50% of eligible equipment costs – are available for NSW businesses that:
- Have a commercial and industrial (C&I) waste service on site
- Hold a valid ABN and employ at least one full-time employee in NSW
- Send business waste to landfill or recycle it within NSW
Eligible equipment includes balers, compactors, crushers and other on-site recycling technologies that help your business avoid, reduce, reuse or recycle waste (read more about the rebates).
