Vertical Balers Australia: Compact Cardboard Waste by up to 90%
Every square metre of retail or warehouse space is expensive so why let loose cardboard swallow it?
A Mil-tek vertical baler turns a trolley-load of boxes into a mill-ready bale in minutes, cutting your waste volume by up to 90% and your bin lifts with it.
With more than 45,000 machines running across 20 countries and a local Australian service team, we make the switch to baled cardboard simple, safe, and fast to pay back.
Why a Vertical Baler?
Most retail and logistics sites see payback on a vertical cardboard baler in 12–18 months. A typical supermarket producing 800 kg of cardboard a week pays roughly $380/month in bin lifts; baling cuts that to two collections per quarter and frees up 3-4 sqm of BOH.
Space-saving: 90% volume reduction, footprint of 0.45 m²
Lower waste costs: Fewer bin lifts, rebates on baled cardboard
OH&S: No overflowing cages, safer manual handling
Cleaner BOH: Tidier loading dock, better compliance
Recycling revenue: Mill-ready bales sold to recyclers
Fast payback: Typically 12–18 months
Our Vertical Baler Range
How Our Vertical Balers Work
A vertical cardboard baler works in four steps.
- You load loose cardboard through the front door.
- A ram descends and compacts it against the base plate.
- Once the chamber is full you tie the bale with twine or wire through the pre-cut slots.
- Then the front door releases and a finished bale (typically 80 to 120 kg.) is ejected onto a pallet or trolley.
