the Get Waste Levy Ready event was held recently at the Emporium Hotel in Brisbane, powered by Mil-tek for Collaboration in Queensland
Mil-tek Recycling and Environmental Solutions in conjunction with ‘Coreo’, EcoBiz, ‘Help Enterprises’, ‘Cleanaway’ and the ‘Emporium Hotel’ invited industries, councils and local government bodies to understand the complete waste and recycling solution to achieve a Circular Economy at a recent event.
Attendees were shown the logistics of what a business needs to do to reduce its waste footprint and not only save money by reducing their Waste Levy impact, but actually producing financial income by recycling and supplying waste feed-stock to grow innovative new industries and employment creation for Queensland.
Waste compaction, diversion and sorting are the simple and vital links which are completely being ‘missed’ in businesses and without these vital components, Queensland businesses will pay heavily though Waste Levies to pay for unsustainable and ecologically unfriendly landfill options.
This informative and educational event was the first forum in a series that will explained the logistics together with simple and instant options to reverse carbon unfriendly waste practices currently in use in Queensland.
